  • Every safety claim links to its source
  • Built by a solo traveler, for solo travelers

The times when you really need to know

Solo travel is incredible—until you hit that moment of uncertainty. The knot in your stomach when something feels off. The quick mental calculation of "am I safe here?" We built Zenera for those moments.

You just landed. It's 11pm.

The arrivals hall is chaos. Taxi drivers are calling out. You don't know which exit is safer, whether prepaid counters are legit, or if that guy offering a "cheap ride" is trustworthy.

Zenera helps:

See which gates other travelers recommend. Know which taxi services have good reports. Get guidance before you step outside.

Your cab takes a turn you don't recognize.

You're watching Google Maps. The driver turned left when the route said right. Is this a shortcut? Is this normal? Your heart rate goes up.

Zenera helps:

Know if this route matches what other travelers have experienced. Flag unusual paths. Feel confident—or know when to speak up.

You're walking to your hotel after dinner.

The street felt fine an hour ago. Now it's darker, quieter. You're wondering if you should've taken a cab. Is this block okay?

Zenera helps:

Block-by-block safety info. Know which streets are well-traveled at this hour. Find safe havens nearby if you need them.

You want to explore—but is it safe here?

Everyone says this area has great food. But it's your first time. You don't know which parts are fine and which to avoid.

Zenera helps:

Time-specific safety scores. "Main street is busy until 11pm. Avoid the back lanes after dark." Real intel, not generic advice.

We can't remove uncertainty from travel. But we can make sure you're never navigating it alone.

Questions

Is this just for pre-trip research?

No. Zenera is designed for real-time use—when you're at the airport at midnight, when your cab takes a weird route, when you're walking somewhere new. It's your travel companion, not just a planning tool.

How is this different from just Googling or asking ChatGPT?

Google doesn't focus on safety. ChatGPT makes things up—it literally invents incidents and neighborhoods. Zenera only shows verified information from real sources, and every claim links to its origin so you can check it yourself.

Will this make me more paranoid about traveling?

The opposite. Anxiety comes from uncertainty. Zenera replaces "I don't know if this is safe" with actual information. Most of what we show is reassuring—"this area is fine until 11pm." Knowledge reduces fear.

What about the auto check-in and route monitoring features?

Coming in Q3 2026. We're building these now. Join the waitlist to get early access when they launch.

Is the app free?

Yes. Core safety features will always be free. We may add premium features later, but neighborhood safety data and real-time guidance will remain free.

Is this only for women?

Built with solo female travelers in mind, but useful for anyone. Safety information helps everyone—and everyone's welcome.

How recent is your data?

We prioritize sources from the last 6 months. Every report shows its date so you can judge for yourself. Old posts from 2021 don't outweigh recent 2025 reports.
